Organizations Voice Support for Expanded Loan Eligibility for Broadcasters Affected by Pandemic: As Congress considers legislation to extend relief for American businesses devastated by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the Local News and Emergency Information Act would go a long way in helping many broadcasters stay afloat and continue to provide viewers and listeners with lifesaving local news and information when they need it most.

National Association of Broadcasters and League of Women Voters Launch Voter Education PSA Campaign: Don’t forget to visit NAB’s Election Toolkit to download broadcast-ready spots and more tools to help get out the vote!

Broadcasters have always been creative in finding ways to connect to remote locations and to get the word out during challenging times, and the flexibility on display by the nation’s broadcasters during the COVID-19 outbreak has been nothing short of extraordinary. Broadcast engineers and technologists quickly crafted solutions to ensure that the public was protected, informed and, in the environment of social distancing, comforted. This current working environment has inspired the latest PILOT Innovation Challenge:

2020 PILOT Innovation Challenge Focuses on Decentralized Collaboration for Audio/Video Production: PILOT is currently accepting applications for the 2020 Innovation Challenge. Winning teams could receive up to $150,000.
