NAB Pilot

PILOT Offers Media Technology and Innovation Scholarships: PILOT has announced it will continue its Media Technology and Innovation Scholarships program by offering up to four scholarships of $2,500 each in 2021. Students eligible to apply include current college sophomores, juniors, seniors entering graduate school and graduate students, for pursuit of studies related to broadcast engineering, media technology and innovation.

New on the PILOT Blog: Datacasting for Remote Learning: Given that over-the-air broadcasting continues to be the most efficient way for delivering a piece of content to many receivers, a potential “killer app” for broadcasters is datacasting. There are many types of services that are well-suited for datacasting, such as near video-on-demand, targeted advertising, software download or update services. This blog post focuses on using datacasting for remote learning.
