I am still energized by what I saw, heard and experienced in Las Vegas at the 2025 NAB Show. From thought-provoking speakers to the newest technology, this year’s show was a reminder of our industry’s storytelling mission.
Spanning everything from local TV to TikTok and AM radio to AI, NAB Show is the world’s largest media event and the place for storytellers and content creators of all kinds to explore every corner of the broadcast, media and entertainment industry.
Here are some of my favorite highlights:
Big Names, Bold Ideas on the Main Stage
From Stephen A. Smith’s Fireside Chat with Mike McVay to Dhar Mann’s insights on how he built a successful media business and Nick Khan and Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s discussion about the future of media and WWE, NAB Show’s speakers delivered memorable insights and inspiration.

New and Inspiring Programming
NAB Show is constantly evolving to meet the moment and provide the entertainment community with sessions relevant to our industry. This year we unveiled an all-new Sports Summit, which was so popular that several of the sessions were standing room only. It was great to hear from so many industry leaders including Portia Archer, Tracy Perlman, Jason McCourty and Gotham Chopra. We also debuted the Business of Entertainment track which featured top executives, like Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Publishing Group Jody Gerson and influential creators.

We also focused on our industry’s enormous opportunities and most pressing challenges at our Streaming Summit, led by Dan Rayburn, which featured about 70 speakers from OTT platforms, sports leagues, broadcast companies and content owners, and Programming Everywhere, which hosted discussions on the business of content creation, distribution and acquisition.
Cutting-edge Tech on the Show Floor
Attendees waiting for the exhibit floor to open on Sunday were filled with energy and excitement! The Show floor, with 1,100 exhibitors spanning 12 football fields, is packed with innovative technology you can’t see anywhere else. The F1 simulators were incredible, and top brands like Sony, Verizon and Blackmagicmade major product announcements.

Making Connections
In addition to the latest tech, the Show floor was buzzing with exhibitors and attendees making connections and conducting business. Each year, nearly $17 billion in business is generated through the connections made at NAB Show, helping fuel business and better serve audiences.
I always enjoy connecting with our local TV and radio members at the Show and discussing our policy priorities for the 119th Congress. Hearing directly how Washington’s rules impact their ability to serve their communities across the country motivates our team to fight for them every day.

Honoring Excellence in TV and Radio
NAB inducted two broadcast icons, the National Football League (NFL) in television, and legendary BMI singer/songwriter John Oates in radio, into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame during the 75th anniversary BMI dinner. NAB is excited to host this dinner going forward and incredibly grateful for the whole Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) team, especially President and CEO Mike O’Neill for setting the bar high!
At the NAB Show Welcome legendary syndicated radio personality Delilah was presented with the fourth annual Insight Award from the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation (LABF) for her profound impact on audiences nationwide.
During the We Are Broadcasters ceremony, NAB presented the TV Chairman’s Award to renowned magicians and television personalities, Penn & Teller. Jeff Moriarty, chief product officer for digital products, Nexstar Media Group, Inc., received the NAB Digital Leadership Award and Paul Shulins, co-owner, Over The Air RF Consulting, and Dennis W. Wallace, managing partner, Meintel, Sgrignoli & Wallace, received the 2025 NAB Engineering Achievement Awards. In addition, Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio President Sheila Kirby presented Deborah Parenti with the 2025 Frances Preston Trailblazer Award.

Finally, I want to thank the incredible team that made NAB Show such a success, led by Karen Chupka.
I would love to hear your favorite parts of NAB Show. I hope you join us for NAB Show New York October 22-25, 2025!
